Tells me that there is "no /sdcard/ .android_secure found" "Skipping backup of applications on external storage"
"no sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext"
Any thoughts?
The no sd ext is normal. Reboot with the card in and open astro so it can create the files on the card. Android secure should be made.
I'm going to do the 3.1 first. If for nothing else, you replied to that thread first and I've already started.
Ya update, you'll keep root, and then flash a new kernel
When I attempt to do the following method "
Automated Method
1. Open ROM Manager
2. Select "Backup Current ROM"
3. Rename you backup something easy to recall (DO NOT USE SPACES OR ODD CHARACTERS IN BACKUP NAME)
4. Select "OK"
5. XOOM will boot into CWM
6. Select "backup and restore"
7. Select "backup"
8. Select "go back"
9. Select "reboot"
I never see the options after it starts back-up after the rename and hitting ok. (option 5)
Regardless, my backup is there. No problems. Thanks for the guide!
Cool. Ya its seeks the best way to do a backup is to boot into clockwork and do the backup there. Don't use Rom manager.
I have this exact same issue. Can someone post a link to the Download section for the recommended CWM that is Xoom compatible? Backups work fine, restores are not working. I am making another backup through CWM recovery(not within the app) to see if it makes a difference.
SDcard System Image Backup Using ClockworkMod Recovery v3.2.0.0.(RC4). Back yours up today!
This one works fine, I had to do several restores when I was testing some things for Bazar6.
