    Welcome to the forum zebuddi.

    I dont think it cant.

Alternative...root it and use custom ICS. But you need your Xoom USB cable and External sdCard to do it.

Thank you and to astrix for the reply. had a usb kit somewhere just cant remember where. that's a little job for tomoz ! has anyone tried the custom firmware? i have just come from the advent vega dont laugh .... been playing with ics for a while but have probs with deep sleep and other issues. Cass and the devs are doing a great job porting it very stable and smooth but i had to jump ship when the xoom dropped to 250 would really like a good stable working ics and hopefully google should get it right

again thanks for the welcome and quick replys

    Hi to all

    just updated to ics ota

the updates are sequential was stuck on 3.1 update over night (GED`d). then came across a post in xda that cleared the update check and reset the stored check update data. resolved mine not finding any updates

setting - application - all apps - google framework service - clear data which resets the last checked data

my problem was because my xoom was uk version updated to 3.2 and with sdcard installed. after ged`ing this caused an update error after download and verifying and trying to install caused it to fail

so remove sdcard if installed and reset data

    1. remove sdcard
    2. reboot
    3. go to settings
    4. select applications
    5. manage app
    6. select all
    7. tap google service framework - delete data
    8. back to settings
    9. select about- software update
    10. check for updates

and all should be good to go

Just like to say thanks for this thread. Did my UK WiFi Xoom last night with no problems. Now running ICS US. I have one question. There is no mention of locking the bootloader. Should I do this? I'm sure I read somewhere that this can cause problems.

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. I'd leave it unlocked, sometimes if you relock it you'll end up in a bootloop.
