Good point. And there was a line missing from the instructions; the ADB command to get the device in a position to accept fastboot commands. I'll update the instructions.

when you say push the files via adb, do i need to do anything with the command adb or is it just the fastboot commands.

Do I run them against the xoom in its normal booted state or do I need to put it into a loader mode or anything?

    Sorry for the basic questions!
    Fastboot commands will do it

    Hi Ben

Just a question. Was your xoom on rooted 3.1 when you put stock image back on it? Because mine is Canadian xoom running on 3.1 rooted US image. I will appreciate your reply.

    Ben,

Might be worth mentioning that people may also need the moto USB drivers..

if 'adb devices' does not return anything (when the Xoom is connected) then the driver is not installed...

    Cheers,

    Mark

If people find the SDK install a little daunting.. check out EasyADB

All the files Ben stated are in this handy package..

More sound advice from Mark there. I will update those instructions to give people choice of full SDK or the EasyADB set.
