    "Error retrieving information from server"

    I'm trying to purchase some books from the android market and I get this message every time... I tried digging up info and a lot of people seem to have the same issue dating back to 2010 ranging from phones to tablets but with no answers or resolutions... clearing data and cache doesn't seem to work, either.. anyone had luck with fixing this?

    This was posted in another thread, solution 2 worked for another member.

    Server Error solution 1: You may try this

    1) Have a gmail account
    2) Sign up for a youtube account and link it to your gmail
    3) Log into youtube app on your tablet
    4) Try your Market

    Server Error solution 2: You may try this

    1) Create "NEW" gmail account
    2) Sign up for a youtube account and link it to your gmail
    3) Log into youtube app on tablet
    4) Try your Market

    I'm getting the same error. First time I've seen it since I've owned an android device. Only started when the music was added.

    probably a market bug.if it started since they added something.waiting on an update may be the only fix.
