    3G Problem & 3.2 Update

    Hello,

    I have a XOOM with 3G & WiFi in the UK.

    Today I was prompted to update to Android 3.2

    I accepted the update. After downloading the system restarted and went into update mode... everything looked fine but at the end of the update the Android image with the cogs spinning changed to an android with a warning sign containing an exclamation mark.

    I held down the power button to switch off the device.... After switching it back on it booted into android and I was told that the update had been unsuccessful. However the system is telling me I am now running 3.2 and no other updates are available.

    The problem is that the device no longer acknowledges that I have a sim card in the sim card slot... The 'Mobile Networks' option in settings is faded out.

    I have used 3G on the device a few times over the past few weeks... I can't say for certain that it was working before the strange update experience however it had been working in the past and now it is not.

    Does anyone have any ideas what might of happened here?

    The Sim card works correctly in a 2nd Xoom device (successfully updated to 3.2).

    i have fixed this problem on my device.

    it took me an entire day of figuring out how to flash the device with Motorola's stock image but i did it thanks for the solution in this thread: Update for 3G Xoom in UK
