    Xoom stuck on RSD Mode.

    **Xoom Wi-Fi Only MZ604 ICS.**(Stock).


    I have tried to root my xoom,and.... stupid me ,tried to flesh other recovery then the guide said.
    Now the xoom stuck on RSD Mode 3.
    I found a guide:

    Tried that BUT RSD lite ERROR:


    "Phone[0000]:Unable to retrieve initialization values from INI file."


    What to do?
    Any way to shutdown the xoom?

    You'll probably need to flash back to stock and then reroot with Universal Root.

    Did you get your Xoom up and running? I purchased a Xoom yesterday (craigslist) with the same problem for $150 bucks! I did some research and had it up and running in a couple of hours. Shoot me a message if you still need help.

    I have a similar problem...my Xoom is wifi only and us build (MZ604) and is stuck on the screen with the M logo and
    "Starting RSD mode 3
    OneWire: Charger is not connected or battery is not being charged...
    Battery charge level: 49%"

    after trying to use RSD lite, which has worked before, i got a message about the absence of "ETX" on the end of the bin.
    HELP?????? I love this thing, and would really prefer to have it...you know...functional. Any assistance/advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hi, same thing happened to my Xoom, although I wasn't trying to root it or anything. I just restarted and end it up with frozen tablet and this message
    "Starting RSD protocol support 0
    OneWire: Charger is not connected or battery is not being charged...
    Battery charge level: 75%"
    Any ideas how to fix that?

    Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. I'd put it on the charger and leave it until the charge indicator has turned green for at least 30 minutes. Then I'd try a soft reboot, press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both.

    I tried, its been green for about a day and I just now plugged it back in. RSD lite does not even recognize that I've plugged in my Xoom.
    Give it to me straight doc, how bad is it?

    Have you tried getting into recovery and either wiping the cache or do a factory data reset? Press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the xoom starts to reboot, when the screen starts to change start tapping the volume down button until you see android recovery in the upper left of your screen, tap the volume up button to enter the android recovery. From there you can clear your cache partition and reboot or do a factory data reset and reboot. Is your Xoom still under warranty?

    How to install the essential files needed to flash back to an original stock ROM SBF.
    This is necessary when you get stuck in the proverbial "bootloop".

    Step is similar to this tutorial :

    Flashing the SBF:


    • Run RSD Lite as Admin
    • Power off your Xoom, press volume up and power at the same time until the device starts. It should boot with "Starting RSD protocol support 3"
    • Connect your supplied USB cable (I say supplied because 3rd party cables can cause issues)
    • Browse to the SBF file you extracted in the filename box (use the ... button to select)
    • Click on Port 1 and select Show Device. If it looks similar to the below image (Device and File Properties are both populated) you are all set
    • Click Run
