Welcome to the forum.Glad you decided to join us. Try a soft reboot, press and hold the power button and the volume button together until your Xoom starts to reboot, then release the buttons and let it reboot.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. What rom are you running? If you've already tried the soft reboot you might have to bite the bullet and try a factory data reset.

Hi! First post I'm having the same **can't un-mute ** issue What appears on the XOOM screen when you do a soft reboot? Mine says: "Starting RSD protocol support ...Onewire ...charger not connected" in upper left corner....how long should I wait? Does a soft reboot take a while? Until those phrases disappear? Want to be sure I'm doing it right Thanks so much!!

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. You've done more than a soft reboot just press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both. Don't start tapping the volume down button.
