help finding my nef files

Hello!

first time posting and i have a question for you all. i'm on vacation right now and i'm trying to backup all my raw/nef files from my d90. i understand the xoom must be rooted to use my card reader, but the xoom does see my d90 in the gallery app, but does not show it having any pictures on it due to them being in nef format.

i've tried downloading multiple apps for viewing and importing raw files and nef files, but they all fail to find any files. Where can i point these apps to look in order to find them?
