problem with file transfer

    problem with file transfer

    has anyone seen this error downloading an mp4? It goes through the whole copying process and then at the very end I get a "the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected".

    Are you transferring with a cable or over wifi?

    Hey bob,
    using the usb. Its strange, ive put a few movies on it using the same process (clonedvd), and I did everything the same.

    the entire download bar fills and it goes down to 0 seconds, then the error.

    USB debugging maybe?

    I just realized my problem was having USB debugging on. I turned it off and copying files via USB started working again. What helped tip me off was ftp file transfers still worked fine but all of a sudden I could not copy to the device via USB, though I had copied other files before fine. I thought it was an available space reservation issue or something that only happened with USB. I then tried turning off USB debugging, and without rebooting or anything I could copy to and fro again. Yay!
