    mail account setup problem

    Hi

Iam trying to setup a BT mail account on my new xoom but it fails on the outgoing server part. says setup could not finish. The server port number defaults to 587 but on my laptop it is port number 25. When i change the port to 25 i get authentication error message. Any suggestions as to the cause ?

Hi and welcome to the forum

As far as I am aware the port number should be the same as your laptop, sorry thats no help but I am sure someone will be along with a more helpful answer, I really just wanted to welcome you.

This link will take you to the email setup page on Motorola owners, there may be something you have missed?
