    definitively bricked xoom wifi?

First let me say, this is a really great forum - a lot of really interresting stuff for xoom owners.
After playing around with some different MZ604 ICS roms (CM9 KANG, Team EOS), there where no serious issues with my xoom. A couple of days ago, i got - after unplugging the charger - a sudden reboot. Afterwards i stuck in a bootloop (red M). So i jumped via CWM back to the latest stable nand backup.
But still bootloops. Factory Reset. Still bootloop.
Going xda - reading. Finding xoomforums: reading more.
Logically i did work thru every thread about bricked and softbricked xooms. I performed all the possible and impossible solutions, but finally i stuck in that annoying bootloop...

What i did until now (not in logical order):
    • Wiping, factory resets in CWM
    • Flashing stock img files via fastboot (boot, system, recovery, userdata)
    • Locking, unlocking
    • stock sbf via RSD-Lite
    • and things i forgot

Everything i did: it ends with a bootloop. Sometimes the xoom is able to start up to the android splash screen (honeycombs, eos logo, cm9 logo) but there is point it freezes and reboot to the red M. Finally it stucks in bootloop.
I got normal response in fastboot mode, sporadically i got a short response in adb, but then the device reboots. For all flash-processes (sbf, fastboot, cwm) from different machines i got normal success, file checksums are ok, so far i conclude nothing is broken during this works.

Now i am at the point, thinking about having a defective logic board.
Because of the warranty void, motorola will not be willing to fix the board (not really surprising from my point of view).
But perhaps anybody has an new idea, what to do to reanimate my xoom? And is there a possibility to get a logic board (wifi only)? Anybody out there selling such (used, new) stuff (no luck via google ) ?

Regards, and thank in advance for any help!

Your description shown you know what you're doing and lots of posibility you had tried.

I recalled as one of our member stuck in bootloop till the stage to sbf the Xoom with stock sbf with no success.

Last solution he did tried, rsd his Hong Kong Wifi Xoom with other region stock sbf. Amazingly he manage to boot up to homescreen.

I not so sure it will work for you or it will make the matter worst

Hope someone with better idea will pump some input.

Gd luck and hope your Xoom can recover soon

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Like Astrix said you've tried just about everything. The only thing I would suggest is to put the Xoom on the charger and let it charge until the indicator turns green. Then try fastbooting the images again, fastboot won't work unless you have almost a full charge.

    Perhaps i did it...

Thank you for the quick reply. I think it was the good soul of this board, that an half an hour ago i got a last shot to my xoom and - bingo - it works. Don't ask me why exactly (but im used some strange behaviors by our linux-systems at the office ).

I'd like to describe, wich order of steps i perform. Every of these Steps have i tried the days befor, but (perhaps) not all in that explicit order:
    1. At first i went (again) back to stock flashing the .img files via fastboot. I did not perform fastboot oem lock. Afterwards, the xoom still stuck in a bootloop.
    2. Going back to fastboot i flashed recovery eos-recovery-r6-softkeys.img (again).
    3. Then fastboot reboot, going directly into recovery.
    4. In CWM i install the Xoom-Universal-Root.zip (thanks for that to solarnz).
    5. Directly afterwards i perform in CWM a Factory Reset, then wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache.
    6. And still at CWM (mounts and storage) i formatted /system.
    7. Next step had been installing Eos-wingray-90.zip. The install-process seemed to "hang" so i hold my hands by my side and was waiting for 10min.
    8. Hitting a button (display) brings me back to CWM without reboot and without error about flashing.
    9. Directly afterwards i flashed Eos-wingray-99.zip (Goo.im Downloads - Browsing wingray).
    10. Don't nowing why, but again i was rebooting to recovery and installing this Eos-wingray-99.zip one more time.
    11. Afterwards reboot, and - Eos bootsplash - ok, at this point i stuck before a couple of times...
    12. A few minutes later - I couldn't believe it - i got a fully booted xoom.

Then i did a reboot, going to recovery performing a backup , installing actual gapps, still working. Restoring my apps and accesspoints via titanium backup, rebooting again, and still working.
Don't ask me why, but my device seems to be unbricked????

Hopefully such an a odyssey will happen never, never again.

The Xoom is a very hardy device, very, very hard to actually brick.
