Thanks....but Drive Mount requires a rooted device [mine is stock] plus the installation of Busybox. Isn't there a simple method for one to be able to utilize flash drives and see the drive on their screen?

It should work. I know they have a camera kit for stock xooms so flash drive reader should work too.

On ES File Explorer go to settings, make sure there's a check in the box Up To Root. Hit the back button, then select media, and it's in the USB folder.

I'm truly sorry but....followed your instructions carefully and....no Media showing in the folder for ES File Explorer ...and - no USB Folder.

What OTG cable are you using? I'm using the Motorola Camera Connection Kit.
Amazon.com: Motorola Camera Connection Kit for MOTOROLA XOOM, Xyboard 10.2, Xyboard 8.2 (Motorola Retail Packaging) 89454N: Electronics
This more expensive than the ones on Ebay, but I know it works.

Well..so it may be the OTG cable I bought on eBay. Who would think that a little cable like that could be the problem?

Using a flash drive or external HDD drive via OTG can only be done under root. There are several threads on this forum that confirm that. While you can use a variety of devices such as keyboards, mice, etc. with the OTG cable under stock, thumb drive support is not available. I have never read a good explanation for that restriction, it is definitively restricted on stock.

As you are more adept than I...what are your comments regarding the last post? Are you rooted or stock?

Ya seems that way. I thought I've seen some members confirm working USB flash drive via OTG cable. I've been rooted since launch so I couldn't say for sure.
