    Calendar Sync Adapter missing

    Hi there,

I am running EOS nightly #70, rooted. My Google calendars stopped synching about 8 days ago and I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. THe problem was first noticed after I had to change my google accounts around as I created a google apps domain.

I've tried this on EOS 2 as well. Basically, the option to sync Google Calendar does not appear anywhere. I have tried removing my accounts from the Xoom, adding back in again, but no luck. This is on an MZ601 3G Xoom.

I can see my Exchange calendar which is synched from my office, but I simply cannot sync my Google calendars. I have noticed that teh "CalendarSyncAdapter" is missing from the installed apps, but how do I get this back?

Please help, this is driving me insane!!!

I'd try reflashing the rom and the gapps. I updated the OP with new gapps several days age.

Thanks ggrant. I reflashed nightly 70 and then did gapps 0429. The calendar is there but not the calendar sync. This is an improvement on before but there's still no sync.

Maybe I need to wipe and flash (the device that is!!)... What do you think? A pain... But the only other option I can think of? Unless someone can send me the apk for it? Other ideas? Maybe go back to Eos ics 2.0? Would that need a full wipe since I'm going backwards?

Shouldn't need to wipe going from nightlies backwards or vice versa. Make a backup just in case.

    Still no luck...

Removed my 2 google accounts... Cleared cache and dalvik cache... Flashed EOS 2... Installed gapps 0429 signed... Rebooted... re-added the accounts... Still no calendar sync. it just doesn't appear as an option in the accounts and sync section. And the Google Calendar sync is not installed.

I'm totally stuck for ideas now. Other than a full on factory reset. Should I do this via the recovery boot loader - I am using Clockwork - or should I do this from within ICS using the factory reset option? I'm still open to other ideas though!!!

Thanks for all your help so far ggrant.

WOOHOO!!! You guys RULE! That worked! You would not believe how long I've been trying to solve that. Multiple posts to Google forums, e-mails and what not, but in the end the answer came from here. Thanks so much ggrant and Pasemkr!!!

This is one of the most friendly tech forums I've ever been on, I was fully expecting to be flamed for asking the question in the first place. Thanks for giving something back!!!
