why/what can i do about my motorola xoom showi splotches on all dark backgrounds

recently i updated my wifi xoom to android 4.0 using the official update then a day later small splotches of shimmering red pixels started to appear on all dark backgrounds includeing the keyboard. i was wondering if ths is happening to anyone else and if there is anyway to fix it ( my xoom is still under warranty but i really do not want to return it ) also does anyone know why this might be happening ,

Have you try factory data reset? Cause it happen only after the upgrade.

sounds to me like the xoom is overheating . may be a heatsink issue on cpu/gpu/board

check your temps, does your tablet get hot?

if not, it may indicate that the cpu/gpu is going bad which likely means a board replacement
