external SD card wont let me delete files

I have a 16gb eternal microSD card installed in my xoom. I have had it installed and have been putting movies and tv shows on it. It has been working great...up until now.

After I'm done watching something I would long-press and delete it. The other day I tried to delete a movie and my xoom wouldnt let me. I went into the folder and individually deleted each mp4. For some reason it wouldnt let me delete the folder though.

I hooked my xoom up to my pc via usb. I went into the external sd card and I was able to delete the folder that I wanted to get rid of. However , after I disconnected my xoom from the pc and went back into the sd card, it still showed my folders I had kept but yet all of the data in those folders was gone. Even my pictures from the camera were gone from my DCIM folder. WTF!!!

Luckily, I download the pictures from my xoom on a regular basis.

I think this all has to do with the ICS update. I'm hoping the jelly bean update isnt gonna gimme more problems.

Its news to me that the SD cards work. I'm still waiting for the up date to get the SD cards working in the XOOM ! It does move around in its holder a little ! Is there a down load for the XOOM ?
