Connecting through Wifi issues....?

I dont know if it is just me, or the security setting my router is on that seems to make the xoom ultra slow when on wifi only. I get time outs even in the app store. My laptop that is right next to the unit is getting speed tests over 10meg. Is anyone else having issues, or is mine possible buggy?

Make sure all your settings are correct on the router and your xoom. Any other devices connected to your wireless network having any issues? What encryption method are you using?

Nothing crazy just wpa2-personal, and no, there is no issues with all my other laptops computers gadgets and everything that i have running on the wifi.

change your encryption type and try it again. then change it back. Sometimes routers. Especially Linksys. Will get bugged and not accept a new device. I find changing the encryption usually fixes that. If it doesnt you can also reset the router. It isnt as though it is hard to set them back up to match the old SSID and password.

Simplest encryption you can use is WEP. Try that.

I had crappy connection yesterday (as evident by inadvertent double posts on a few forums). I did a reboot and still crappyn I woke up today and connected with no issues. I wish I had a technical answer but I don't. Just retry it later.

Im having issues too. It sees my network with a strong signal but i'll get a lock for about an hour then it cant maintain a signal for the rest of the day. tried everything on the network side but cant get this to freakin work....arrrgg
