first big problem

    Unhappy first big problem

    Ugh the Xoom powered off on its own this morning and now ever since it wont install or update any apps from market or Amazon. Tried a couple clean boots and clearing cache for market. Apps download but getting (app name) installation unsuccessful notifications. Guess it's time for a wipe and reload...

    Tried all that though it was disk space but had over 10g free. Amazon wouldn't install either so I'm guessing something went teribly wrong when it just powered off on its own. Back and running after wipe and load.

    Hmm. So the memory was being read wrong? If so this is a known issue and a factory reset fixes it.

    I'm assuming you have tried a hard reboot? Hold volume up and power.

    Had to factory reset last night. Tried soft boot, hard boot and shutdown but still every install from Market, Amazon and even side-loads all failed. I had thought it might have been disk space but I had between 2 and 3 gigs free. I think one of the apps I had downloaded borked and caused that unknown shutdown but anywho the factory reset was a breeze. The music & movie sync though took about 3 hours over usb. Eeeeeeesh!
