Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately there is not much we can do. If you cannot remember the google account login and password you may have to get a new one so that your xoom is functional. I know that does not link your apps to the xoom but at least the xoom would be up and running.

I reset the browser to the factory defaults. It came back and recognized the Google account and everything worked fine until I shut down. When I came back I got the same error message "Webpage Not Available" and I cannot find a way to get back on line. It has something to do with the IMAP settings but I have not figured out how to do this on Xoom. all of the instructions on Google deal with Android phone settings.
To configure the 'Email' app on an Android device for access to Gmail, just follow the steps below:

    1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
    2. On your phone, press < Home >, then open the Email application.
    3. On the 'Your accounts' page, select Next to get started with setup.
    4. Enter your full Gmail address and password, then select Next.
    5. On the next screen, you can give the account a nickname and choose the name to display on your outgoing messages. Tap Done.

And you're done. You can verify your settings from the Inbox view by tapping < Menu > > Account settings.
    Incoming settings
    IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
    Port: 993
    Security type: SSL (always)
    Outgoing settings
    SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
    Port: 465
    Security type: SSL (always)

If you're getting "Webpage not available", that usually means the browser is not able to contact the server in the URL.

Do any other web pages load up for you? Do any other apps (Maps, e.g.) that use the internet work? If not, then you have a data connection issue. You should try to resolve that first. Are you on 3G or WiFi?

    I have a Wifi Xoom.

Other pages will not load up. I am completely off the internet when this happens. It is becoming quite bizarre. For the last few days the system worked and the browser started functioning again only suddenly to go off again with he same eror message. This is without changing any settings whatsoever. The email from google mail has worked during this period and received email until 3:55 AM this morning but both the email and the browser now show a not connected error message, when the tablet tells me that I am connected. Unless I can get a solution he I am about to send this thing back to Amazon.com where I bought it and ask for a replacement that works or get my money back. As a computer user for many years but not all that technical I don't have time to mess with this. Other than that I like this device, but of course it has to work bug free.

You can try a factory reset but that only resets user data not system data

Ya its a system issue. You can try going to settings/apps/manage apps/all tab/ browser/force stop/wipe data
