    Help Email Pop3

    Trying to set up a 3rd account on my Xoom I go to Add account
    Email address
    MYNAME@optonline.net
    Password******

    hit next

    hit POP3

    User name - MYNAME@optonline.net
    Password******
    POP# server - is it supposed to be
    pop3.optonline.net
    or
    mail.optonline.net
    or
    mail-hub.optonline.net

    port 110

    cannot get to the outgoing server, help.....


    I set up my verizon with no problem.

    The POP3 address is dictated by your ISP/provider. Yahoo uses something like "pop.mail.yahoo.com" or "imap.mail.yahoo.com", while I know a Lycos account I have uses "pop.domains.lycos.com" and my home ISP uses "mail.so.<domain name here>.net".

    So there isn't any standard. You need to either go to your email account's FAQ page for setting up POP3 accounts, or call your ISP to get that info.
