Great find Shrxwin :-) that saved me a lot of heart ache. Was doing the same thing but missed that stupid wavelauncher... damn amazon and their free apps lawls... back to normal now so that's all that matters
I still want to check it out so didn't uninstall and the darn thing was back in the background when I rebooted (for an unrelated reason) guess I'll either have to look at it soon or get used to going in and stopping it!

Rained, do you have difficulty with the same portion of the screen in landscape and portrait?
If not then I would suspect its a software issue. I would start by removing those apps that updated one by one and test after each
To see if one of them is causing the problem.
If you are haveing the same issue in both, then it could hardware, in which case you need to return it.
*edit: lol I totally don't see this second page in the thread!
Glad you figured it out

Thanks, Shrxwin!! This was frustrating me for days. BTW - rather than uninstalling Wave Launcher, I went to the Setting and moved the gesture area to the side of the screen. I now have no troubles with the bottom of my touch screen any more and can still use the app (though still haven't decided if it's worth keeping).
No problem! Working in IT all these years sometimes pays off at home tooI still haven't checked out the app's features but did change the setting to not auto-start.

I found this out last night. Resize the launcher and position it away from the notification area. When I updated the problem was persistent so I started bt redownloading my apps one by one and found the culprit.
