    Charging issues

    Anybody experience any problems charging?

    Last night while charging, my xoom would repeatedly switch from charging to not charging and eventually would say charged, the battery would indicate a 255 percent charge level, and the battery icon would disappear from the notification area.

    I did a factory reset thinking maybe an app was screwing with it but the problem still persisted.

    Unplugging it for a few minutes would bring everything back to normal but then after plugging it it back in the problem came back after a few minutes.

    I finally got it charged up to 100% and now i am just letting the battery drain so that i can test it again.

    Nothing now. Did a factory reset which erased all application (except for stock apps). Not installing anything until i get this figured out. So far this morning things are looking better. Drained battery to 90% and plugged in charger and all seems fine. I guess i just have to keep monitoring the situation.

    Spoke to soon. Just plugged it in again and same problem.

    I have had charging issues but the problem with mine seems to be the wall charger. In order to even get it to charge I have to mess with the plug and get it to sit just right. I will definitely be returning the charger when I get off work today. I doubt it but I wonder if the issue your having could have anything to do with the call charger?

    @stead...sounds like that small adapter plug that connects to the xoom is bad. This is one small gripe I have is that it seems like it'll be quite fragile.

    @kfxo...I would take it back. Might just need another charger.

    Your right it is very fragile. But its actually the portion that plugs into the wall thats faulty. I have to have it plugged in upside down and at the perfect angle to get it to charge, it even makes a disturbing electric buzzing noise. Not cool!

    Take it back. Have them pull just a charger and replace it.

    Just spent an hour on the phone with motorola. They are going to send me a new one.
