browser crashing

    browser crashing

    so the stock browser keeps crashing but only on certain sites do it amd only when im reading something anyone else having this problem because its really aniying and i want to fix it but clearing the cache didnt work.

    Same iasue .. Hppens with OC 1000, 1200, 1480

    All no change to ov settings.

    i'm running a completly stock xoom, no rooting on my xoom just don't have a need for me right now unlike on my OG droid

    The stock browser definitely has some bugs in it. I had this issue, and also another issue where sometimes it would only partially download web pages, and then just completely stop at like 35%'ish.

    I fixed that by switching to the new version of dolphin, also their beta browser works fantastically on my xoom.

    Yeah the Stock browser is definitely not the best in show on the xoom. I'm not to sure how to fix the stock, or if there are settings that need to be set for a better experience.

    I am currently using the Dolphin HD browser for the default, it is not perfect but a lot better than the stock. While using the stock browser i had a force close percentage of probably 40%, while on dolphin probably 15%. Also dolphin has a better layout of bookmarks, and has a handy symbol recognition program to get to sites. It is also customized a lot more, like color and add-ons.

    I can't get any browser to stop crashing. Wth is going on? This started after 3.1. I hope an update is sent out soon.

    Stock browser crashes several times a day. I've tried everything I can think of to remedy... nope. of course, nothing from Motorola on support site. This is a MAJOR problem, unacceptable. I think I'm still within the timeframe to return my xoom, and I just may do that if I can't solve this within the next couple of days. Dammit.

    Try firefox, opera, Mathox, dolphin hd.

    There are more free options than the stock app.
