    wierd charging...sometimes have to plug in twice?

    not to much of an issue since it works fine, but sometimes ill plug my xoom in to charge and it wont start charging till i unplug it and replug it back in.

    this would normally tell me that the plug might not have good contact, but it will also start working again if i unplug the charger from the wall and lug it back in ther.

    just curious if anyone else noticed this, or if its just me

    Yes. Happens every so often. I always just make sure the 'charging' light is on - when plugging in at the end of the day. Sometimes have been able to get it to start charging by fiddling with the cord of the charger -- but sometimes have to resort to unplugging at the wall, then back again. Would like to know if anyone else is having the same issue. I suspect the charger itself is messed up - but based on another thread... think it might even be the internals of the xoom itself..?

    I've started experiencing the same issue. I plug it and it starts charging, but sometimes after a while i discover that its no longer charging. Unplugging and plugging again from the xoom does not fix it, but if i do it from the wall plug, it resumes charging. Its odd.... that moves me to think that maybe the problem is on the charger itself but...

    I've had exactly the same problem. Have to plug and unplug from socket a few times before charging works.

    Every time I reset the device the charging is perfect. As I start adding apps this happens again. Trying to narrow it down...

    Mine's done this from day one. I think it's the adapter. Probably something to do with wasted energy in idle transformers is my guess. Unplugging it resets it.

    since mine also had the folding prongs stuck in the open position I took it back to verizon and they replaced it. The new one has charged on the first try every time. Problem solved for me!
