    HELP removing corrupted applications

A friend of mine has a Xoom WiFi that came with Android 3.2 and has some how corrupted a couple of applications. Books and YouTube do not show up as Apps, when he goes to the market to find them, there is no choice to install them. Using File Manger HD we found them in the apps folder but are not allowed to delete them. When we try to install them they will not install. In Settings > Applications > All they show up but we can not uninstall them.

How do we clean up his Xoom?
Adios XOOM it has been, well an experience

Yes, that is in Settings > Privacy. Won't that delete data that we want to keep too like books, documents, videos and pictures?

In privacy make sure the options back up my data and automatic restore are checked and you should be okay. If what you want saved are on the sdcard they won't be touched, if they are on internal I would mount your Xoom and copy those files to your desktop.

Thanks. He did not have much data on there anyway, a few songs and a couple of free books. He had the automatic backup checked. As soon as he gets to a WiFi network he will get his backups. The corrupted apps got reinstalled during the reset.

Yeah, try with back up data unchecked and automatic restore checked, that way it should restore your apps with no data.
