SD card - copying large 4gb+ files to the card

I'm hoping that someone can help me. I'm trying to copy 9gb movie files to my sd card, but there is a 4gb max file siz with the fat 32 file system. Can you reformat to a fat64 format and still have honeycomb 3.2 read the card?

Any help is appeciated. One of my main desires for the sd card was to load my movie files to it. I'm hoping that is not a lost dream.

I have 7 or 8 movies on my sdcard, each movie being 1g to 1.5gb. I think your only option is to just copy them one at at time.

These are MP4 files, but I've converted them with a fairly high resolution ripped from bluray, so each file is about 7 to 9GB each. Storage is fairly cheap so I'd rather have the higher def files that I can play on several different devices, than a low res file only decent on the xoom.

I had a couple that were too big to copy to the sd card, and DVD Cat told me I had to break them up in order to put them there. I decided not to do that and instead just put them on the 320gb hard drive I carry with me to watch them from there. If you're rooted, it's a piece of cake to do that...

Darn, I was worried I wouldn't be able to do that. The ext HD is not a bad idea. I may have to go ahead and root mine so that I can view all my videos. I have a couple movies loaded directly to the Xoom, but at 9GB each, I can only fit two on the device itself.

    Thanks for the replies.
