Please Help My Xoom is asking for a password and I dont want to reset

Hi, I had not used my xoom for a few days and the battery completely drained. After I charged it, it started asking me for a password on boot. I never had entered a password or encrypted anything. I am running rooted 3.2 and can get into clockwork recovery (v3.0.2.8) but I really don't want to reset (Ive gotten so far in GOF2!). I have titanium backup so maybe I can just copy this to my computer and reload it after reset but I would really prefer not to. I saw other threads closed with this question because people thought the xoom was stolen so I took a screen capture of my google account with the xoom under it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13046902/screen.doc

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Andrew

    Can't Factory Reset

So I tried to perform a factor reset using Clockwork recovery but it is saying "Can't mount /cache/recovery/log". I called Motorola but they won't help me because I am not using the stock recovery and rom. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

You may wanna try flashing another version of CWM. It is my understanding that when people see this, an update to the next version often fixes it.

Thanks. I played with CWM was eventually able to wipe data/factory reset. However, even after wiping everything it is still asking me for a password! Is there anything else I can do. I hate to think my xoom is "bricked" just because somehow I ended up with a password I cant get rid of.

No, short of the suggestion about ClockWorkMod I mentioned. I've never heard of this before, so not sure of what to even try. There isn't any software you loaded that might be doing it? Or did someone else play with it?

Did you actually try any passwords. Any common ones you use, maybe you set it by mistake, maybe it wants a Google password, who knows. I would say try any that you use or try 0000. Sorry, never heard of passwords just coming up on there own.

Good idea... Your Google password would be my first try.

    still having problems

Sorry for the delayed responses. I have tried any password I every use. I also tried default passwords that i could think of (admin, password, 0000, 1234). I also used fastboot to flash the xoom back to factory default but it is still asking me for a password. Any suggestions of anything else I can try?

You may best best served by contacting Motorola directly.

I got the same problem, it happened right after I set up the password for enter a screen lock. I used Google password, and it worked.
