video chat xoom to ipad2

me and my friend both have gmail accounts, one uses a xoom the other uses an ipad 2

how can we use the video call feature to talk to each other??

On the iPad have them check out Vtok which is a good google chat video client. You could also both use fring which has a Xoom client. I don't think Xoom has a Skype client but I haven't checked recently.

Correct, xoom not yet one of the devices that is supported by Skype for android. Hopefully soon???

I just figured out how we can do video chat with someone (perhaps Mickey?) who is on an iOS device. On the TF, you will need to use the Google Talk app, called simply "Talk" and login with your google account.Have your friend grab the app in the Apple App Store called "Vtok" and have your friend log in with their account. Then you can video chat.

I tested this between my iPhone and my TF and it works great, even over 3G on an iPhone.

i heard Tango works, but then was told they could not find an ipad app for tango, only iphone. anybody confirm?

Won't iPhone apps run on iPads, even if not perfectly?

Sure. It's just an iPhone app. I'd use vtolk instead if it matters.
