Overclock Or Kernel Issue???

Are you having kernel or overclock issues?

In an effort to try and determine a common theme for people having issues with overclocking or kernels please report the following:

- Device (3g or wifi)

- Root Method (one click or adb)

- Kernel (version)

- OC App (Droid Overclock or Set CPU)

- Description Of Problem (ex. Constant rebooted when clocked @1504, High temps, etc)


Please note that no two devices are created equal. It is common for some devices to handle being overclocked without an issue while others can not. This was created to see if there is a similarity with people having issues in hopes to find a working solution.

I have a Verizon 3g xoom, I used the root my xoom program to root and flash the tiamat kernel and at doesn't matter what setting i have SETCPU Set on it crashes , even at 1ghz lol It didn't matter what I did on my device, it would randomly reboot, especially if I messed with the setting after reboot.

Have you tried starting completely over? Unroot, re-root, reflash?

You can try another app like Droid overclock by jrummy. I've seen setcpu cause some issues for some people.

I'm wondering if its an issue with the one click root program, I wish we would get some more feedback from its users....
