Media Confirmation: ICS Update Rolling Out to Motorola WiFI XOOM Tablets

Here is a follow-up to WERA689's greatly appreciated post from late last night. It's spreading across the web that the Ice Cream Sandwich update is now rolling out OTA to Motorola XOOM owners. So far, all we know is that it is rolling out to the Motorola XOOM WiFI version, and there is no word on when it might come to the other versions of the tab. We will keep you informed as we find out more!

Just got 4.0 on my wifi xoom tried viewing a video that ran smoothly on 3 now it pauses every 10 seconds for about a second then plays. Anyone else having this issue? Bad start!

Can you tell us if you Just received the prompt to update now or did you just now turn on your Xoom for the first time today?

I called Moto up they have no freaking clue what I was saying. I have join the soak crap and asked how do I join he said it does not exist.

The private soak forum has already been closed. It was only active for those three or four days, during which time members could not have access to the Motorola public forum. So as soon as the roll-out started, soak was closed and members are back to the public Motorola Xoom forum. But I doubt if the Motorola helpline knew anything about it, anyway.

I just received the update prompt on my xoom tonight. it works great and netflix is native.
