[Rumor] Motorola XOOM ICS Soak Test Begins

The Motorola Xoom may just be getting Ice Cream Sandwich fairly soon. According to rumors, a soak test of Android 4.0/ICS has already begun. Here's a quote with some more details,

Word comes from Motorola Feedback Members who have been invited to test a new software update for the Motorola XOOM. Whether this is Android 4.0 or not is still a mystery, but since the software is scheduled for a release in Q2, this could finally be it. Also, it has been over a month already since we had news about a leaked early version of the update.

If this turns out to be true, the yummy ICS will only be a couple weeks away for Xoom users!

Over the weekend, I unrooted and re-updated my Xoom Tablet. So I am now running on a locked OTA ICS. I'm in Santa Barbara, California.

Note - Make sure your Xoom is on the HLK75HBuild for this update to work. When I unrooted my Xoom, using the Motorola's last known build, it was the HLK75D build. It took two OTA updates (F and H) before I could use the IMM76L update.

Also - I noticed that the Root groups have all the Android Notification/Ringtones, the ICS OTA does not include them or some of the live wallpapers you see with the Root Groups in case you are wondering.
