Purchased my 604 for 200$ from Craigslist in June also. If your problem persist, I would suggest a factory restart. Remember "Refurb".

i did that in settings and still nothing. So frustrated

I just got one of those refurb jobs (Daily Steals) and it had many problems -- wouldn't upgrade to ICS, couldn't get any apps. A factory restart converted it from a near brick to a thing of beauty.

how did you do a factory reset? I did it from settings menu but still no luck.

I got mine from Daily Steals as well, so far so good! Loving it!

I called Motorola to see if it was worth buying the Xoom WIFI/LTE and having Motorola upgrade it like they did in the past.
They ended the upgrade program on 31Mar12 so I passed on the sale.

One of the pitfalls of buying from other vendors is not knowing which SW image the Xoom will have. I bought a Xoom locally and it had the Canadian SW image. I had to unlock it and replace the image with the US image from Moto's website-then I could upgrade to ICS.

Maybe that is one of the problems with some of the Xooms coming from the Ebay firesale?

Some, not all, vendors I'm guessing probably don't know what they have. A lot of them are either factory refurbs, or "seller" refurb. I think the latter seller is one I'd be slightly concerned about. In most all cases you'll get a refund regardless.

Do you see a refurb unit as a bad thing? I am assuming that the daily steal ones are factory refurb...
if you look at the new ad, they stopped selling the verizon 3g ones two days ago, and yesteday's ad says 4g! I had the old ad on my screen and was going to buy yesterday, but now the new ad is out, I refreshed my screen and the 3g ad is defunct. Yeah! I can get 4G... but do i want that???(I thought that last week reading here people said that the 4g vesion will not do some things if you only use wireless? I wasn't planning on activating the 3g or 4g as Verizon isn't getting 4glte around here for another year! ugh! and when i drive down towards San Francisco where there is 4G my Droid4 battery drains fast even when not doing much, I turned LTE off on the droid for now. What are the downfalls of the 4g upgraded version? I looked last night and can't find the comments now...see below for the current ad! also note the ad does NOT mention it having GPS?????? do some Xoom versions's not have GPS inside or was it just not mentioned?
