So no, they haven't fixed the SD card issue. And if you're unfamiliar, obviously from the list of folders above, the internal memory is listed as /sdcard instead of hdd0 or something to that effect. So when i install an SD card, the system gets confused, and certain apps can't read the real SD card because its formatted incorrectly in the system.

    Welcome to the forum!

As for the "SD card issue", I am not sure what is up, there must be something different about your Xoom.

I have a microSDHC card installed in my unit and I can download updates and new apps and they install into the internal memory just fine. BTW there is no problem with the internal memory being listed as 'sdcard', it is only a label.

As for the format of the card you insert into the Xoom have you tried formatting it to FAT32?

Have the upgrade a couple of weeks now. I find my Xoom a little sluggish since - slight delay in touch response. Also I find Internet browsing has slowed as well. Anybody else experiencing this?

My SD card shows up as "sdcard1" and the internal as "sdcard0". File manager HD and SDCardXD report them with those names. That started with JB 4.1.1 and stayed with 4.1.2.
Can't really report any speed difference since 4.1.2. *shrug* I dunno.

My mistake - it's the standard 32 GB version.
