    Scary Android Malware Quickly Pulled From Market



    Apple’s semi-arbitrary approach to app store management may have problems, but Android (as much as I love it) is a jungle in comparison. Just tonight Google has pulled an app that, if downloaded, would have essentially rooted your phone and sent off every single detail it could find to a server in Fremont, California. Not only that, but it had the ability to download more code, potentially making it even more dangerous.

    No virus or malware has ever been disseminated on the internet that the source hasn't been tracked down and apprehended. Woe be the person who is in Google's crosshairs.

    I personally hope they're caught and a vise grip is applied to a very sensitive area and that's just a start.

    Sounds like scare tactics from the pro-Apple groupies, IMHO.

    People just need to use some common sense when downloading apps. Read permissions.
