    Thanks for the info here. I dipped my toe into hacking & took my first baby steps. Updated to ICS and everything went smoothly! Loving ICS already, even with a couple of app glitches.

    any ideas on why the universal will not root my xoom? i've tried the link posted and the one here on xoomforums and i still cannot get it to root

    You're using this one, right? [Root] Universal Xoom Root - ANY XOOM ANY UPDATE

    I just now finished up using that guide on the official OTA that I manually loaded during the soak weekend. No problems here. Perhaps ask in that thread with some specific details to the problem.

    yeah thats the one im using i get the superuser apk but nothing after that if i do su in term emulator i get permission denied. i have posted in that thread
