The claim is that you can but I had to wipe. Make sure you backup before hand (and copy your backup files to another machine). I found out the hard way.

A wipe isn't that bad if you have Titanium Backup. I did a wipe to go to 3.2 with all my apps and data backed up, only took about 30 minutes to be back where I was. I personally think a good wipe every oncce in a while actually helps, no pun intended. I wipe my windows machines about every 6 months but an android device is a whole lot easier.

    It wiped my TiBu backup!

Pretty much everything else stayed in tact.

Was your backup on the sdcard? Mine was on sdcard and everything on the card stayed intact. When you wipe only the internal is involved not the sdcard.

Yep it was on the sdcard. It worked when going to the Tiamat ROM.... No love when applying the 3.2 update. For some reason it decided to chew up my backup. My trust for TiBu is high but I'll be backing up beyond the sdcard from now on.

I didint lose any thing but I cant keep any thing when updating. So I use both. Reason is I have a WiFi password at my work I don't want to lose LOL I have 3.2 and 3.1 Saved as a back up and just flash back and forth now hehehe. I am very bad I have 4 Hard Drives I keep back ups and wipe my hard Drives every 6 months too. Helps keep it running fast as hell.
