My First XOOM Boot animation

Here is my first xoom boot animation. Keep in mind that there are 76 images compiled into this 1 zip so here are 4 of them... im not about to sit here and upload all 76 so hope these are enough to describe it. All images are 512 x 256 PNG's just as the stock boot animation

Thanks to jkurl, bigrushdog, and tntdroid for helping me get this working!

Place zip in the system/media folder and rename "bootanimation" then change permissions to rw-r-r. That's it!

I'm going to be working on some new ones this weekend and slowing tue framerate for the current one down when I get home. Hope you all enjoy and thanks again bigrushdog and jkurl!

Did you make sure you put it in the proper folder in /system/media? You will also have to set the permissions on it. Does root explorer work on Honeycomb?
Those images look great btw!

Yes in same folder as original and I moved original out. Permissions are the same and file name is the same. The main difference is my boot animation is a little over 9 mb and the stock one is like 2.38. I am pretty sure I screwed up the description file because I'm no good with that. I have this instaalled on my xoom now it just doesn't play so it won't hurt by installing it if someone can help me get it going.

That is a sweet looking bootscreen. Much better then the current one. I hope you can get this working. Maybe posting this in the XDA XOOM forum will help with the problem.

Ok apparently a guy (or maybe a girl since I can't see them) says no kernal for custom boot animations yet. Can anybody verify this and why would it make a difference since I have root and file is identical as original except for size.
