adding a preview picture to movies in the gallery folder???

hello all, this may sound like a dumb question but here goes. I have sideloaded several movies into the movie folder which show up and play just fine in the gallery tab. The only problem is i now have a bunch of black squares with no preview pic or name associated with what the movie is, how can i add a name or preview pic so i know which movie to click on??

    You can't.

Gallery creates thumbnails from a random position in the video between 5 and 15 seconds. Even though MP4 files can use an "Album Art" tag (which is what Apple devices use) Gallery just ignores them, and creates it's own thumbnails. I was hoping with Honeycomb they would actually realize it, but I guess not.

In my own software, I managed to create a work-around for this. If enabled, it places the video name in the middle of the video during the time period that Gallery picks a thumbnail from. Then when you browse your files in Gallery, you can see the filename in the thumbnail. Unfortunately, there is no other way to have Gallery display something more.
Personally, I just use a file-browser in order to pick from my movies. You just browse to the movie you want to watch, and tap on it, and it will play.

This is what it looks like in the video:

ok i figured it out. in the movie folder create a new folder and name it the movie you are going to put into it and put a jpg of the dvd cover in the folder with the movie, do the same thing for each movie, you can download a jpg from the internet under (movie name) screenshots or (movie name) dvd cover. It works perfect now all my movies have the cover art and the name of the movie under it.
