Newbie wanting to watch movies on Xoom

I've scanned over posts about how and what to use to watch movies on the Xoom. I will use DVD Catalyst cause it looks like it will be the easiest to use. How many GB's is recommened for the SD card and do the SD cards come formatted to FAT32 file format? If they don't come formatted in FAT32, what is required to format it?

My Xoom is the US version. I'm not rooted and the version it's running is 4.0.4.

You should be able to format on your PC if you get a 32Gb. Movies take about 1Gb to 1.5Gb using DVD Catalyst so the size of your card depends on how many movies you want. There's also the new 64Gb SDHX cards, I just purchased one and formatted it in my smartphone.

So, how do I go about formatting the card?

I have a 32 GB SD card in mine. Plenty of room, and of course you can delete and copy as much as ya want. Just like a rotating movie list.

BTW a 64 GB micro SD will work in Xoom, but due to the cost at this point that are really cost prohibitive. You can get 3 or 4, 32 GB cards for the price of one 64 gb at this point. As prices come down yeah a 64 gig card will be in my future.
(Just as a bragging point imagine someone with an iPad saying they have 64 gigs storage then they with their smug attitude ask how much storage you have, and you would be able to reply ehh,, oh 96 gigs. nothing too fancy. LOL.. I'm just sayin' )

    Have a great Sunday.

Minus the unlock issue with my card adapter and my computer not wanting to recognize my Xoom. I now have a movie on my Xoom. After converting the movie, I ended up just coping it to my card then putting the card back into my Xoom. Thanks everyone for the help.
