    I'm not sure if I am the right person to answer Handbrake questions, since I'm a developer of a similar application.

    Anyway, I don't recall Handbrake having volume-control options. A few weeks ago, I looked into it for someone, and all I could find was questions about it, but not answers.

    In most cases, the volume should be fine with Handbrake, but the audio format on DVDs, AC3, is always converted softer for some reason. With video files it is often already boosted a bit.

    Kind'a figured that. I actually want to get dvdCatalyst, but right now I am recovering from identity theft that sent me into a financial whirlpool. I'm all right, but getting this credit back to where it was before is a slowly-but-surely pain.

    I am sorry to hear about the identity theft issue. That sucks. I know all about credit. I am finally (after 10 years) able to get a carloan in my own name. Before that, all I could get was a $500 Bestbuy card

    You understand then. I have to think about every dollar because I hav a family that depends on me. Its bad that after I worked so hard all those years, someone comes along and puts it all in danger. But ia m happy you re doing better as well.
