I know..I know..another Ipad vs. Xoom thread. I plan on keeping my Xoom (4G) and giving it to my wife...Overall, I am not overly satisfied with my Xoom. It is not bad ...just not worth the $ I paid upon release last year at this time.

Too many issues...clunky...typing lag, browser crashing, home screen flickering at times..... Much of this happened after the latest update (which I thought was going to be ICS). Overally, just not as smooth as the Ipads I have been playing with. Then there is the apps..

I am sure the Ipad3 will have it share if kinks...but I tried being an early adopter of the Xoom...now I will give the IPad a try.

I realize the Ipad has had a few years on the Xoom in development...so it is not really a fair comparison. I am hearing really good things about the Asus Transformer...prolly what the Xoom should have been.

Anyway..this site has been great and the people very helpful. many thanks and I will be back I am sure when I finally get ICS on my (soon to be my wifes) Xoom.

It is so hard to understand Human Nature. Don't know how many of you saw the news yesterday about Apple being valued at 500 Billion now. And how do they do that? Well, how about we piece-meal out our new developments. We don't want to put them all out at the same time or we won't have anything for the next release to get all the "fanboys" to buy. Hard to believe that the iPad2 which was supposed to be the next best thing to sliced bread hasn't even been out a year and they are already talking about iPad3. The goofy part is the MILLIONS of people who lined up to buy the iPad2 and there will probably be millions again lining up to buy the iPad3. I will have to say this, The marketing team at Apple is second to none. The iPad3 is going to have to be something really awesome to pry my Xoom out of my hands. Who knows.

Besides the iPad 3, I'm gonna wait and see how the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Galaxy Note 10.1, & Transformer Prime Infinity are gonna be like, I know, they're all dual core, but dual cores can be better than quad cores

I might consider it if it wasn't just a 7" tab. I had their Nexus One and it was a good phone but I'd like a 5" phone and at least a 10" tablet.

I got the n1 on release day too. I'd still be using it if the power button didn't die. I think Google will make a ten inch version too. I don't want a seven inch. I bought my three year old a kindle fire and it's nice if not small.

Most people expect that (the so called) Retina display will be the major change. If that is true, the iPad will have fantastic resolution.
