No. When you connect the propretay tongle to an hdmi cable you have ONE cable so you're carrying around ONE cable. As I said before, with BOTH tablets you STILL have to carry around a special cable. This is why it makes no difference if its proprietary or not. The xoom ports may as well be proprietary since you need a special non-popular cable to interface with it. As I explained before.....If you bring your xoom to a friends house (or anywhere) and want to hookup to his 50" TV you STILL have to carry around a special micro HDMI to HDMI cable or adapter since all home theater systems/TVs use full sized HDMI and NOBODY who is going to have a micro-HDMI to HDMI cable just "lying around"

Malibu have you got a Galaxy 10.1?

Because if you have got one you presently still have to spend $60 to get the functionality a Xoom gets for a fraction of the cost. Good luck waiting around until China makes the cables.

What I would like to hear more about is their keyboard dock. How good is it sitting in your lap? Does it take up any of the screen's bottom real-estate? If it doesn't then how sturdy is it?

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase. Some reviewers will agree some will not that is the nature of preference.

Some reviewers get there facts wrong... that happens too.

Yeah .. we will see how long that Sammy love lasts .. lol .. wouldn't be the first time for buyers remorse, only to sell it and get another Xoom.

Have to agree with you. Can't say for sure but the tone and style of the op is very familiar, always seems to have a gripe about a well reported shortcoming but when tested has no real xoom experience. There's a few similar threads running with different names. I try to send them somewhere relevant without feeding them.... if you know what I mean. ;-)
