Since it's gapps it has to be one of the google apps, I would clear the cache and data of gmail and see if that's the one. Menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all>gmail>clear data and cache and reboot. You can press and hold the power button and the volume up button together for several seconds and this will cause the Xoom to do a reboot, called a soft reboot.

Hi, I thought I'd post this in case someone else is having this problem. I read a lot of recommended solutions and tried only two. First one was clearing all cach and data, rebooting etc.)_. and that didn't do it.
Second try was go to Accounts and Synch. Click on each gogle GMAIL account - the one with the 'g' not the yellow envelope. UNCHECK Synch Browser. It's been a day, and I haven't seen that pesky message again. What a relief!

I just tried that but after the reboot, the error popped up again, I went to google play and still nothing. Any other ideas? If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
