You need to install the Team EOS 2.0.0 plus the gapps that are for your particular dev ice. Once rooted you can not accept any OTA's, the developer will have them before any way. Put the rom and gapps on your sdcard, boot into recovery and I suggest you get Quick Boot from the market, don't have to fumble with the buttons. Once in recovery you will need to wipe your cache partition, dlavik cache and wipe data/factory reset. Once done select install zip from sdcard, then chose zip from sdcard, chose the rom, then chose zip from sdcard, chose gapps, reboot and enjoy 4.0.4.

ggrant I would like to thank you for all your great support. I rooted my xoom and installed a custom OS. I am now running version 4.0.4. Thanks again for your help.

For any one else with this issue, I have figured it out and I am not currently rooted. I installed a custom rom as per ggrant3876 instructions which gave me version 4.0.4 and everything seemed fine. Just out of curiousity before i loaded a bunch of stuff onto my Xoom i decided to follow his steps on how to unroot my xoom. After unrooting and installing the factory Android OS it went through about 5 or 6 updates till it was finally back to version 4.0.3 (only one more to go). I clicked to install version 4.0.4 and it INSTALLED PERFECTLY. So if you cant get the update to go through i guess you can try to install a custom rom and then revert back to the unrooted form. It worked for me and i hope this helps you also.

A quick question. Is it worth doing this? I mean, going through the whole process of backing all my data up, then putting it all back on. Is there any significant changes to 4.0.4? Thanks.
