Rather dissapointed in this update...I think I saw another poster who noticed decreased battery life as well...mine never dropped below 35% in a day while unused...until now.
Update doesn't like the Verizon unfriendly wireless tether either I see...![]()

I noticed same thing for the battery life and I uninstalled Accuweather ... since then no more battery life problem for me :-)
Same battery issues with me as well.
ME... WANT.... HONEYCOMB!!!
I got a question does your xoom s battery delete like 30% when sleeping over night for like 6 hours? .. just seems like alot to me. Has been happening since 3.1

tethering is over rated IMO, I see these wireless companys stoping this practice in the near future. Data plans for the xoom are cheap anyway so why bother?
The opinions above are solely those of a 12 year old hacker who has broken into my account, and not those of my employer or any other organization.
I have a WiFi model, and while I use my Xoom constantly, Its mostly in house, so thats not an issue. But at times, I like to take my Xoom on the road. Depending on what I need, I usually load in music, movies, etc do I am not bothered with the lack of WiFi. That being said, I may want to check my mail, or get a new app, or some other little business, do I need a second data plan for what might about to a few MB a month? $20 plus taxes and fees is too much for so little.
While I agree with the companies about UNLIMITED data plans, If we are talking capped data plans, it should be used however I need it. After all, if I'm using my data on my DX or my Xoom, is it not the same amount of data?
Needless to say, AT&T and Verizon are starting to cap data, as well as making it harder to find items that help you tether, such as PDAnet. The days of true unlimited data streaming are becoming a memory, and I am fine with that. I just want to be able to use what I pay for without limitation.
Ya tethering is helpful for those quick peeks.....I use a miniscule amount of data, like toastedmuffin, I'm not gonna buy an overpriced data plan for literally 5 min. Of use,if that, during the month.....wifi is most everywhere.
I am seriously gonna root next week if there is no update for the SD card...the biggest reason for my purchase. I sold a 64GB I pad for this, so now gettin angry about it. Now I see the Acer tab with a full sized USB and all working for cheaper and I get even more angry! Oh yeah, the battery IS draining much quicker now...wonder if it's possible to revert back to 3.01![]()
Noticed my battery was down to 40% after the unit sleeping for about 12 hours, which was a little worse than usual. However I was able to bluetooth tether with my Droid 2 without any problems, actually it worked better now after the update.
