Yes, it is really simple actually. First you need to have the 3.1 update. If you do, then you need to get an OTG Host Cable to connect your Xoom to the device. The one I linked to is inexpensive and works perfectly. I bought that seller's LED version, The seller is excellent, shipping is a little slow (not because of the seller, just where it comes from), but the product is great.

Once you get that, just plug the cable in, plug the mouse into the cable (I used a wireless mouse, but wired will work too) and once it connects you'll get a little mouse arrow on the screen and it will work.

And Yes also. BT mouse and keyboard will work fine as well; or a mix (BT keyboard and USB mouse) etc.

You can also use a USB hub and use a wired keyboard/mouse together . I've also used wireless usb keyboard/mouse by hooking up the wireless dongle to the USB port. Worked perfectly.

Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk. No typing lag!!!!!

Speaking for myself, I was using stuff I already had laying around. Also, my BT mouse/keyboard don't play nice to together. I don't feel like getting another BT mouse to see if I can get one that plays nice with my Moto BT Keyboard.

So my understanding is that the XOOM doesn't need to be rooted for USB mice to work? Or does it? If not, then awesome.

Nope you just need to be on 3.1 and have a host cable.
