Simcard in Europe

I travel often to Europe. Where Can i buy a Simcard for the Xoom , to use in France or Italy?

Hmm, if its a US zoom I don't know if it will work. You'll have to check and see what kind of cell service they have there and a stock verizon xoom will not use any other sim cards other than Verizon's.

Thank you all for your quick replies. i have an unlocked droid 2 global that enables me to use a different simcard. i thought i could do the same with the xoom and not relay only on free wifi spots. i guess i will try to check this when i'm in France. the only information i found relates to the ipad.

Unfortunately the sim card slot in the VZW Xoom is for an LTE card and won't help for European GSM carriers.

can someone tell me what model xoom 3G i'll need to use a french sim card ( Orange or SFR, i assume) - and will i be able to use the same tablet once im back in the states ?

Mine is a UK Xoom and when I am in Europe in buy a mobile broadband sim locally which works fine, I have been told I can do this in the USA also so as long as the xoom isn't locked to a network, it should work the other way round I would have thought?

It should work, but there are only two major carriers in the US that use GSM - AT&T and T-Mobile. Each one offers Pay as you go SIM cards; you can also pick up an 02 SIM card at Best Buy stores for $10 - they use the AT&T network.
