    Exclamation Xoom Reboots when muiltitasking it seems.

    Title says it all, its done it since I got the thing REALLY annoying. Example, im going to listen to music and look at pictures. Simple right? wrong, after a couple minutes of doing this it freezes, then restarts. Even when im browsing music, just browsing music, or JUST playing a game, it will eventually lock-up and reboot. I figured an update would fix this but it hasent, is my device defective? I got it opened from best buy. Please help quick, im on a 2 day leave then i ship over seas then ill be stuck with a brick thanks in advance.

    It seems defective.
    But maybe some information can give us more hints: are you rooted? Are you using the stock kernel or another one? The Xoom always rebooted since you bought it, or is it a recent thing?

    I would have to agree with Jay sounds like a defect..I would call the store up asap and inform them of this..Welcome to the forum

    Everythings stock, ive modifyied nothing. Ill go up to best buy and see if i can exchange it or something

    Don't listen to them!! What are they talking about? WTFg defective? It's completely OS problem. Exactly when you open a lot of programs it goes in random restart. I having the same problem, got my device from amazon. I gonna try v 4.0 to run and will see if it will solve the problem.

    Don't think it's an OS problem, I run quite a few programs at a time and haven't had any restarts at all. I'd say definitely a defective unit.

    Could u say what model do you have? Mine is wifi only US. Try ro play in a hard game than switch to movie and watch it for about hour. Nothing says about hardware defect - no overheat, no mechanical damages. Running beta of 4.0 showed no restarts since yesterday.

    I have a US WiFi only, mine is rooted with a custom kernel too. I don't remember ever getting a reboot before I rooted it either, they no 2 Xooms are alike.
