Weird screen timeout problem

So, I can't change the time out setting on my screen. When I goto the settings, I am able to click something else but when I click it, it automatically goes back to default 15 seconds.
Im going to Settings > Screen > Timeout .. When I change the setting, the new one displays in the text under "timeout"; however, when I change setting tabs, or close settings it automatically restores back to 15 seconds.
This is extremely frustrating as I use my tablet for work and I need to constantly keep my fingers on the screen to keep it from timing out.

Try a soft reboot, press and hold the power button and the volume up button together for several seconds until the Xoom reboots. After rebooting see if it will allow you to change the settings.
