    2.2.1 Moray ROM, and on Arcturus 1.3.1 ROM (or) Tiamat

    To the mod/operators - I would like to know how i can find out what ROM/ Kernel is there currently in my xoom tablet and how/where i can flash to the above mentioned spec. I read in one of the forums that flashing to the above spec can address these wifi issues. I have zero knowledge on reflashing so would need some guidance on this.

    @castorshells...he's using a wifi only model...besides, if he's got a wifi + 3g in India, they're all unlocked...no locked devices in these parts

    yes it is the wi-fi only model. Still having those wi-fi issues, looks like the xoom is not good for wifi.

    The major changes on the router itself being changing it from WEP to WPA/2-PSK, trying to play around with the channel setting 11 ( b/g mixed) too just g or b alone. Bu no dice.

    it is an otherwise wonderful device, but due to this, i am totally stuck as the wifi is key for me in terms of my professional usage.

    if someone who has had this problem and has overcome it, i request you to help me out.

    After months of it working fine, I have the *exact* same problem. It all started right after I did a factory reset on my secondary Westell 9100em router.

    Aside - this is a router used with Verizon FIOS - I have two; I had purchased an extra version of the same router off of Amazon to extend my wired network through coax since it uses MOCA; anyway, point is it had been working fine with this setup).

    I now have extremely limited, and unusable, wifi.

    So it's definitely not specific to one type of router.
