    Xoom in demo mode/ Wont update

    I recently bought my Xoom w/ WiFi at a Target store, and it was a display model. Very good condition, barely used. Works "almost" perfect, except for when I try and update the operating system from HoneyComb 3.0.1 to 3.1 Then hopefully to Icecream Sand which soon after. The update downloads, but when the process of installing starts, it crashes ( shows a picture of the little andoid with a yellow triangle and "!") WHAT DO I DO???? And if its in demo mode, how do I remove that?

    I dont know mabye somebody else has an answer
    Only thing I can think of is Root and flash a "non-demo" rom

    Try to do factory data reset, OTA update and let us know the progress.

    Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the xoom starts to reboot, when the screen starts to change start tapping the volume down button until you see android recovery in the upper left of your screen, tap the volume up button to enter the android recovery. From there you can clear your cache partition and reboot or do a factory data reset and reboot. I'd try clearing the cache partition first, then do a factory data reset if clearing the cache doesn't help.

    I Also Bought A Demo XOOM And I Tried To Clear The Cache, But When I Volume Down It Does Not Offer Android Recovery.... All I Can Choose Is RSD, Fastboot And NvFlash.

    A 'demo' version is not running the full android Operating System software build. you have to reinstall the software build with the retail version for your xoom. this only applies to the original xoom as there is no stock software build available for the locked xoom2/xyboard/xoom ME/Xoom FE. your only option is root/rom.
